Loan Forgiveness Summary: A position as a Job Coach entails
supporting people with disabilities to learn, to accommodate, and
perform their work duties in their place of employment. A Job Coach
may work with individuals one-on-one and/or in a small group
setting. A Job Coach also helps individuals develop interpersonal
skills necessary in the workplace. The Job Coach will assess the
individual’s strengths and needs or may rely on a completed
assessment. A Job Coach may visit the place of employment to
understand the requirements of the job and work environment. This
position will work with an individual both in and outside of the
workplace, as it is important to assist and prepare the individual
for the workplace in advance. Qualifications High School diploma or
general education degree (GED) along with 1-year prior experience
working with children or adults with an intellectual or
developmental disability, including training in home / community
based and / or vocational settings is required. Previous work
experience in industry or rehabilitation is preferred i.e. any type
of business including office work, manufacturing, restaurant work,
grocery store work, etc. Work experience may be volunteer work or
internships Must have the ability to establish and maintain
effective working relationships with program participants,
families, staff, and employers Certifications/Licenses and
Registrations: Must successfully complete and maintain all state
and federal employment certifications such as the mandated
Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators (ACRE) or
Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) within the first 6
months of employment Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License with a
clean driving record for the past three years and proof of
automobile insurance. Child Abuse and Criminal Clearances, FBI
check, completed physical with a T.B. Mantoux Test. Arc Human
