world. We are looking to hire a key member of our Operations team
at our Dover, Ohio location.The MaintenancePlanner ensures jobs are
planned and performed safely, holds employees accountable to the
schedule, studies daily work schedule carefully and informs craft
of their work assignments in accordance with the daily work
schedule as soon as possible, ensures that plant equipment, tools,
and materials are available before starting a job, distributes work
that maximizes productivity and sees that work is executed as
scheduled. This role will need to follow up on jobs to determine
progress and status of the shutdown work. They also solicits
recommendations for improving procedures/plans from craft and
incorporates improvements in job plans, reviews work packages of
planned work orders and makes the necessary changes, ensures work
packages are properly completed and returned promptly, reviews the
causes of major repairs with Operations and Engineering to
determine the root cause and corrective action necessary to prevent
a recurrence, maintains open communications with Operations
personnel covering safety, jobs, and housekeeping, maintains the
area's basic shop and equipment, supports craft training needs,
arranges, and schedules their training.Key Responsibilities
- Ensures zero harm safety culture adhered to during the
turnaround
- Ensure resources and processes are in place for a safe, timely,
and cost effectiveshutdown.
- All aspects of planning related to plant shutdowns, and outages
including but not limited to. processes are in place for the
following:
- Defining work scopes
- Tasking and stepping out of Work Orders including job details
and visual aids
- Development of a shutdown/startup timeline
- Sequencing of tasks within a master timeline
- Resource availability (tools/equip/money/people)
- Pre-shutdown and Pre-startup safety reviews completed
- Tracking actual and committed costs against budget
- Maintaining cost within budget
- Tracking progress against plans
- Provide support for daily maintenance planner and supervisor as
needed
- Provide coordination for all major shutdown activities
- Ensure compliance with overall "Shutdown Timeline"
- Responsible for obtaining approval and funding (if required)
for all changes in work scope.
- Coordinates all shutdown planning activities
- Confirms craft, tools, and equipment availability
- Ensures facilities availability: storage area for materials,
craft parking, change houses, etc
- Responsible for coordination of ordering materials, ensuring
materials are on site, and validation of materials received against
materials ordered.
- Completes daily contractor safety discussions
- Provides status updates during planning meetings
- Responsible for escalating concerns and identifying hold
points
- Responsible for development of work schedule
- Coordination of all resources (people & equipment)
- Auditing activities for compliance with repair procedures
- Prepare agenda for and lead status meetings
- Ensures Resources are available to properly execute all aspects
of the turnaround
- Ensures All aspects of the Turnaround process are in place and
are followed.
- Issues status reports to management
- Ensuring the work packages and plans meet the highest standards
for safety and environmentally responsible actions.
- Delivering an adequate planned maintenance backlog to support
the plant's proactive maintenance and reliability approach.
- Establishing a shared vision of planning performance with the
Area Leaders.
- Ensuring effective utilization of the CMMS system (SAP)
including the development of Bills of Materials, Task Lists, proper
Functional Locations, etc.
- Analyses job requirements by traveling to job sites to evaluate
necessary repairs.
- Develop and maintains a repetitive job plan archive:
- Update job plans after analysis of current plan
effectiveness.
- Order non-stock items.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of similarly related work experience as either
a craftsman or in a position understanding the shutdown planning
process including skills for estimating labor, materials, tools and
equipment to perform shutdown/maintenance work.
- Proficient with SAP
- Experience with Microsoft Projects.
- Ability to read and understand engineered drawings.
- Understand corrective, preventive, and predictive
maintenance.
- Proficient in the use of a personal computer (e.g., spread
sheet and statistical applications, e-mail,
- 2-5 years of planning/shutdown planning experience in chemical
manufacturing or related industries.
- Practical usage of IT enablers (CMMS) such as MS Office and
SAP
- Strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication
skills
- Results oriented and demonstrated track record
- Basic knowledge of applicable environmental rules and
regulationsEducation, Certifications & Licenses
- Bachelors degreepreferred
- Planning and scheduling training/certifications
- CMRT or CMRP Certification is a
