Provider IT Business Analyst

JOB SUMMARY

The IT Business Analyst will serve as the primary business analyst to assigned projects. They will work with management, client counterparts, business and technical team members to identify, understand, and help quantify the business objectives for projects. They will assist in the definition of scope and the planning and initiation of these projects.

The Analyst will play a key role in contract methodologies, analyzing requirements, and validating the configuration with the Business owners to ensure requirements and quality goals are met.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

• Perform business analyst functions on small to large projects
• Support team in database queries for provider and contract information
• Identify problems-issues and provide clear description when presenting options for resolution
• Develop test conditions and scenarios for assigned projects
• Support and execute testing and audit requirements
• Update business documentation and reference materials
• Create specification documents for projects
• Appropriately escalate issues to managements for support and/or guidance
• Collaborate on project development, problem resolution, team decisions and planning
• Effectively gather and analyze data for trending
• Contributes towards daily departmental performance and service level guarantees and achieves individual performance goals around accuracy and timeliness. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Intermediate level - SQL, Access, Excel and Visio
  • 3-5 years of experience in insurance industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and effective communication
  • Knowledge of CPT/HCPCS Procedure code, revenue code and ICD 10
    • Ability to coordinate activities with team members.
    • Ability to multi-task, adapt to change, manage shifting priorities and meet timelines.
    • Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
    • Must have solid work ethic and positive demeanor.
    • Strong computer knowledge.
