Overview
The Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities (Cuyahoga
DD) is seeking someone to assist Service and Support Administrators
by completing paperwork and gathering information to enroll on or
maintain Medicaid benefits, HCBS waivers, or applications for
funding or services. The nature of work will include, but is not
limited to the following:
- Provide an excellent customer
experience for all who access services from Cuyahoga DD, both
internal and external.
- Assist individuals to enroll in Medicaid benefits by completing
Medicaid applications or forms.
- Assist with potential loss of Medicaid or loss of Medicaid by
working with the team to gather paperwork needed to maintain
Medicaid benefits or re-enroll in Medicaid, if needed.
- Complete HCBS enrollment paperwork, including but not limited
to Medicaid forms, authorized representative forms, Clinician
Verification forms, free choice of provider, and DoDD waiver
enrollment forms as directed
- Complete applications for services or supports that are offered
by Cuyahoga DD, such as Home Modification forms, Try Tech or Beyond
Essential Lifestyle training. In addition, assist the SSA by
completing applications for external programs or funding, including
but not limited to Family Children First funding or Furniture
Bank
- Review plans or other documents to verify that follow-up was
completed as directed. Help collect data pertaining to internal
supports and services.
- Use Word, Excel, and Adobe Pro to create a variety of document
types including forms, tables, and charts.PERSONAL CONTACTS:
Frequent contact with Cuyahoga DD staff, parents/guardians, and
general public. UNUSUAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Employee will be
required to drive extensively both within and beyond Cuyahoga
County in order to perform of this position. Therefore, access to
reliable transportation and an excellent driving record are
necessary. You may be asked to meet with people in their homes,
throughout the community and during the evenings and weekends. *
SALARY: The minimum salary for all positions in Pay Schedule B is
$39,615. However, the actual starting salary will be determined
based on many factors including the breadth and depth of the
knowledge, skills, education and experiences brought by the
candidate. Also, it is Cuyahoga DD's intent to pay each employee a
salary that is reasonable and competitive based on the market rate
for the position, while also considering not only internal equity

Qualifications
- High school diploma required.
- Minimum three years of administrative assistant or office
clerical experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft suite
products, with a minimum of three years computer and data entry
experience required.
- Excellent keyboard skills.
- Education in secretarial or business school beyond high school
level desirable.
- Valid driver's license and an excellent driving record are
