Description: SUMMARY
Set up and operates machine to cut and bend metal structural shapes to angle specified by prints.

CLASSIFICATION COMPONENTS
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
Education/Training: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
Licenses: None required
Experience: Minimum two years experience in a manufacturing environment.
Skills/Abilities: Ability to perform basic math and measurements. Ability to follow directions. Ability to solve problems.
Physical: Capable of lifting 70 pounds.
Mobility: Ability to push, pull and lift parts, equipment, etc. as needed; ability to stand for long periods of time.
Environmental Conditions: Work is conducted in manufacturing environment with some extreme temperatures and high noise levels. Ability to pay attention to detail and meet deadlines; capable of solving problems; the ability to deal with different individuals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Set-up and operate the roll forming mill, shear, saw, brake press, curving roll, lathe and stamping press.
Paint parts when required.
Responsible for operating the press brake to close tolerances to ensure quality parts.
Performs operator maintenance as assigned by equipment maintenance.
Stages the correct material to be processed.
Insures that the dies to be used are for the correct part number.
Conduct a first article inspection and random inspections throughout production.
Determines whether material passes inspection.
Performs under general supervision of Manufacturing Manager. Most normal duties and responsibilities are carried out independently with the use of established ISO 9002 procedures and policies.
Records the daily production on data sheets and time card.
