A Carter Custom Millwork Specialist is responsible for fulfilling special orders as requested in a timely and accurate manner. - This is accomplished by producing needed materials, calculating measurements and assembling the product to the customers specification. - Adheres to safety regulations when handling material and equipment. - A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company are necessary to this position.Requirements

• Previous experience in a millwork environmentGeneral carpentry skillsKnowledge and expertise with woodworking toolsStrong attention to detailPossess strong mathematic skills to calculate measurementsAbility to prioritize and meet deadlinesAbility to work in a team environmentResponsibilities - - - Set-up
  • Sets up equipment and material in order to assemble custom millwork accordingly. - Reviews and analyzes custom orders to ensure proper materials are provided and available. - - - - - -Production
    • Produces custom millwork based on customers design illustrations including products such as molding, newels and fireplaces mantels. -Operates machinery to cut and shape to specifications. - Utilizes special tools to create intricate details on all custom millwork. - Evaluates finished products to ensure that customer expectations are being met. - - - -Safety
      • Adheres to safety requirements when operating tools and equipment. - Handles material in a safe and appropriate manner. - Reports any defects or safety issues immediately.Physical Aspects
