Job Description Job Description Electromechanical Bench Assembly
Technician (Stators & Rotors) Join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) team
as one of several new technicians building and refining precision
components. Picture your day beginning with a spotless bench and a
quick Foreign Object Debris (FOD) check. From there, you’ll move
into hands-on work: fitting, building, and disassembling assemblies
and components—rotors, stator cores, experimental builds,
alterations, and weld-area repairs—while keeping accuracy and
safety front and center. A day in this role Open your cell by
confirming cleanliness and FOD compliance for the assembly area.
Fit, build, or disassemble assemblies and components, including
rotors and stator cores, as well as experimental work, alterations,
and repairs in the weld area. Operate material handling equipment
(forklifts and cranes) and work confidently with hand/power tools
and precision measuring devices (micrometers, radius and fillet
gages). Stack laminations and integrate them with other parts to
build stators or rotors, using presses, clamps, and fixtures as
needed. What you bring High School diploma or equivalent earned
through training and/or experience; completion of a four-year
machine shop program. At least four years of
manufacturing/production/machining experience related to processing
and assembly manufacturing. Comfort with: lathes; sensitive drill
presses; milling machines; hot plate; pistol drill; presses;
furnace; precision measurements and gauges; a complete set of
machinist tools; scrapers; files; oxy-acetylene torches; and more.
Ability to read drawings and blueprints. Due to DoD requirements,
candidates must be US citizens. Must be able to obtain and maintain
