Job Description:
Nesco is looking for a Logistics Associate to work with a new
company on the south side of Columbus. This is a direct hire
position, you will receive all company benefits. Pay: $24.00 Shift:
Monday- Friday 7am-3:30pm must be open to overtime. Summary:
Coordinate the day-to-day operations for all aspects of logistics
including distribution, inventory, and shipping/receiving. Arrange
warehousing and shipping of products to customers. Complete,
distribute, and file all related paperwork. Essential Duties: •
Responsible for performing tasks involved in traffic logistics
management, including delivery creation, invoicing, product
distribution, and inventory control. • Follow the Group Code of
Conduct and Group Compliance Manual. • Load, unload, move, and
stage materials within or near the plant or yard. • Load and unload
materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves with a
forklift and by hand. • Load and unload vehicles following shipping
procedures using a forklift. • Attach identifying tags or labels to
incoming and outbound materials or products. • Send, accept,
record, and file all goods movements in and out of the plant, and
fill out the appropriate paperwork required to ship products. •
Create Customs documentation for incoming and outgoing loads. •
Operate the inventory management system to manage stock and
shipping transactions. • Count and weigh parts to validate delivery
quantities. • Monitor stockroom inventory and report discrepancies.
• Submit and update reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• General administrative duties. Qualifications: • Must have a
valid driver's license and forklift certificate. • Must have at
least 2 years of experience working in logistics and/or supply
chain management. • High school diploma. • Computer experience with
ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel,
PowerPoint) and Outlook. SAP Experience a plus • Must be extremely
proactive, organized, and deadline oriented to meet shipping
schedules. • Excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication
skills. Excellent telephone and oral communication skills. Physical
Demands: • The physical demands described here are representative
of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform
the essential functions of this job. Ability to lift 50 lbs.
infrequently. • Exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or
up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of
force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move
objects, including the human body. • Specific vision abilities
required by this job include close vision, distance vision,
peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust
focus. • Work in conditions typical of a manufacturing environment,
including noise, extreme temperatures, and humidity, odors, dust,
