Department is seeking a dedicated Clinical Application Project
Manager to join our dynamic team supporting the schools of health
sciences. The Clinical Applications Project Manager will lead the
planning, coordination, implementation, and delivery of clinical
applications and technology initiatives. This role partners with
faculty, clinical leadership, IT teams, and other stakeholders to
ensure successful deployment of systems that support patient care,
education, research, and administrative workflows. The ideal
candidate would possess a blend of technical and soft skills,
including a demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional
initiatives that involve both clinical and technical stakeholders.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential,
enabling effective collaboration across diverse teams. Preferred
Qualifications • Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified
Associate in Project Management (CAPM), or similar project
management certification. • Experience working with clinical
systems such as Epic, Cerner, Dentrix, Axium, or comparable
platforms. • Background in academic healthcare settings or
experience collaborating with faculty who have clinical and
research responsibilities. Job Summary Manages multiple large
and/or more complex technical projects from idea through execution.
Supervises all project parameters; documents user stories and
functional requirements. Trains and assists lower-level project
managers. Essential Functions • Lead multiple concurrent IT or
clinical systems projects, including EHR enhancements, specialty
systems (e.g., dental charting), clinical decision support, and
interoperability initiatives. • Develop project plans with defined
scope, milestones, resources, risks, assumptions, and deliverables.
• Track project status, performance, and risk; provide regular
updates to stakeholders and governance bodies. • Partner with
clinical leaders, faculty, department managers, and IT analysts to
gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. •
Facilitate meetings, workshops, and governance forums to build
consensus and inform decision-making. • Coordinate change
management activities, including workflow redesign, training plans,
and communication strategies for faculty and staff. • Support
training and go-live processes to ensure smooth transitions to new
clinical systems. • Ensure that projects adhere to institutional
policies, data security, privacy standards, and relevant regulatory
requirements (e.g., HIPAA). • Participate in post-implementation
reviews and continuous improvement discussions. Physical Effort
Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Light,
Little physical effort. Duties are primarily Sedentary. May be
required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally. The
