Job Description:
SUMMARY:Create, verify, and review programs for CNC machining
centers. Work requires individuals to work independently,
diligently, and safely.This job description does not describe all

or without notice.ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review manufacturing process, methods, tooling, and prints to
ensure machinists have everything necessary to successfully
manufacture parts.
- Create and update CNC programs/tool paths for existing and new
CNC machines as necessary to meet print requirements.
- Troubleshoot problems at CNC machines.
- Provide technical support for machinists.
- Daily interaction with Quality, Manufacturing, Quoting
Departments.
- Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design
models.
- Analyze drawings to determine dimensions and to choose cutting
tools, machine speeds, and feed rates.
- Maintain tooling database.
- Completing quality control tests during the manufacturing stage
and on the final product.
- Ability to read production schedules, and plan for material use
to enhance manufacturing operations.
- Comply with all operating procedures, instructions, and safety
rules.
- Communicate effectively with and work well with others.
- Recognize and report all quality issues to operators, line
lead, and/or supervision.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervision.EDUCATION,
WORK EXPERIENCE, ANDPROFICIENCIES
- High school diploma or GED.
- Completion of a technical or associate degree program a
plus
- Experience programming 3- and 5-axis CNC mills
- Familiarity with GibbsCAM preferred.
- Proficient in math including Algebra, Trigonometry and
Geometry
- Previous work experience as a CNC programmer.
- Ability to read and interpret design blueprints.
- CAD experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical

job. Must regularly lift or move up to 10-15 pounds and
occasionally lift or move up to seventy-five pounds, using proper
lifting techniques, help from another employee or other available
resources such as lifting or moving equipment.WORK ENVIRONMENT:The
work environment characteristics described here are representative
of those an employee encounters while performing the essential
functions of this job. The work environment requires the use of
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Exposure to machine and tool
hazards requiring care and attention to safety rules and
