Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification required Must-Have: MedSurg experience Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical. The nurse will be responsible for patient care on a 34-bed unit with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6. There will be nurse aids available, typically 2-5 on the unit. The unit is staffed with a charge nurse and a transport RN from 7 AM to 7:30 PM. The Registered Nurse must be proficient in reading and interpreting telemetry strips. There is a requirement for weekend and holiday shifts. All Registered Nurses will be accountable for managing patients with a variety of common diagnoses. Critical thinking and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
