in MS/Tele - 2 years of experience in Step Down - Ability to read
cardiac strips Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for a night
shift position in a step-down unit. The nurse will typically manage
a patient ratio of 1:4, with 1:5 during emergencies. This unit does
not administer IV drips and has lower acuity. Start date is as soon
as possible. The contract length is 13 weeks, with a possibility of
extension. The shift will include weekdays and every other weekend.
Candidates must possess BCLS and ACLS certifications, which must be
current. Skills required include starting IVs and telemetry
experience. Applicants should have a minimum of two years of
nursing experience. Previous charge experience is preferred.
Familiarity with Cerner EMR is highly desired. The patient
population consists mainly of cardiac patients, including those
recovering from cardiac surgery and interventional cardiology
procedures. Candidates should be prepared to work in a
collaborative environment with interdisciplinary support teams.
Attendance is important, and the facility has established limits on
call-offs during the contract period. Care management will include
telemetry monitoring and various patient care tasks. Candidates are
expected to follow all infection control protocols and maintain
