Job Details - Location: Morgantown, WV 26506 — Morgantown travel nursing, West Virginia nursing jobs, close to WVU and local amenities - Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,380 - $2,510 per week - Assignment Type: Travel Nurse assignment (Travel Registered Nurse) - Setting: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), 20 beds, average daily census of 15 - Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (Day/Night) - Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week - Duration: 13 weeks (March 9, 2026 – June 8, 2026) - Weekend Requirement: Minimum 2 full weekends (Friday–Sunday) per month - Floating: May float to other inpatient pediatric units (L&D, NICU, Acute Peds) - Dress Code: Dark gray (pewter) scrubs Qualifications & Certifications - Active RN license (willing to wait for state licensure if needed; compact license accepted where applicable) - Minimum 2 years of recent PICU or pediatric critical care RN experience required - BLS and PALS certifications required - Comfortable caring for both pediatric and adult patients as needed - COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered) - Experience titrating sedation and vasoactive drips per protocol - EPIC charting experience preferred (training provided) — EPIC experience is a plus for travel nurses Responsibilities - Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU - Monitor, assess, and document patient status using EPIC - Administer and titrate sedation and vasoactive medications as ordered - Manage ventilators, tracheostomies, and complex respiratory care - Support patients with a variety of diagnoses including congenital heart conditions, DKA, respiratory failure, neurosurgical cases, and post-op care - Collaborate closely with pediatricians, residents, APPs, pharmacists, and respiratory therapists in a multidisciplinary team - Float to other pediatric inpatient units as needed while maintaining appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios - Participate in unit orientation, ongoing training, and competency assessments - Provide compassionate family-centered care and clear communication with patients and families This PICU travel nurse position in Morgantown, WV is ideal for Pediatric ICU RNs seeking travel nursing jobs or Pediatric Critical Care RN roles in West Virginia.
