Job Details – ER RN Travel Nurse, Columbus, OH - Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,680 - $1,770 per week - Location: Columbus, OH 43210 (Central Ohio nursing jobs) - Setting: Emergency Department Observation Unit / ED Observation - Employment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nurse – ER) - Start Date: April 20, 2026 - End Date: July 20, 2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 - 07:30), 3 shifts per week (Night Shift ER RN) - Hours per Week: 36 - Patient Ratio: 1:4 - Unit Size: 32 beds Job Requirements – Emergency Department RN Qualifications - Minimum 2 years recent ER, ED observation/holding, med-surg or telemetry experience (Emergency Nursing experience preferred) - Active RN license: compact accepted; Ohio state RN license required at submission (Ohio nursing jobs) - Graduated from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program - Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS - Experience with Epic EMR/charting preferred (Epic charting system experience) - Experience in community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II settings preferred - Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) - Two professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership) Responsibilities – Emergency Department Registered Nurse - Provide high-quality triage, assessment, and nursing care for ED observation patients across lifespan (pediatric to geriatric) - Monitor and manage telemetry and dysrhythmias; maintain PCU/Stepdown level care - Administer IV insulin and heparin protocols, manage cardiac and vasoactive drips - Perform blood product administration, tracheostomy care, and non-invasive airway management (CPAP/BIPAP, oxygen) - Utilize rapid response teams, perform wound care and wound VAC procedures as needed - Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR and follow hospital documentation standards - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams: physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social work, radiology, and physicians - Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards Why Columbus?
