Job Description Vascular Surgeon Position Summary The Vascular
Surgeon provides comprehensive surgical and endovascular care for
patients with diseases of the arterial, venous, and lymphatic
systems. This role includes the evaluation, diagnosis, and
management of complex vascular conditions using both open and
minimally invasive techniques, with a focus on evidence-based,
patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities Evaluate and manage
patients with arterial, venous, and lymphatic vascular disease
Perform open and endovascular surgical procedures within scope of
practice Manage conditions such as peripheral arterial disease,
carotid disease, aortic aneurysms, and venous disorders Provide
emergency and elective vascular surgical care Interpret diagnostic
imaging, noninvasive vascular studies, and test results Develop and
implement individualized treatment and surgical plans Provide
inpatient care, outpatient clinic services, and consultative
coverage Participate in call coverage for vascular surgery services
Collaborate with interventional radiology, cardiology, primary
care, and surgical teams Educate patients and families regarding
disease processes, treatment options, and postoperative care
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation
Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and surgical
outcomes initiatives Practice Setting Hospital-based surgical
practice with outpatient clinic Operating room, endovascular suite,
and vascular laboratory environments Schedule and call
responsibilities based on practice model Patient Population Adult
patients with acute and chronic vascular conditions Elective and
emergent surgical cases Qualifications MD or DO from an accredited
medical school Completion of an accredited Vascular Surgery
residency or fellowship Board certified or board eligible in
Vascular Surgery Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the
practicing state DEA registration or eligibility Skills &
Competencies Advanced expertise in open and endovascular vascular
surgery Strong clinical judgment and operative decision-making
skills Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration
abilities Commitment to patient safety, quality outcomes, and
evidence-based practice Ability to manage high-acuity surgical
patients Work Environment Surgical and outpatient clinical settings
Multidisciplinary, team-based care model Focus on complex care
delivery and procedural excellence
