Orientation and Mobility or Special Education, Certification as a
Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS), and 1 years
Orientation and Mobility Specialist experience required. Applicants
who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A
full-time opportunity is available for an Orientation and Mobility
Specialist (OMS) to support multiple K-12 school districts across
Greene and Washington Counties in Pennsylvania. This contract
position runs from ASAP through June 16, 2026, and requires the
specialist to be onsite at various locations with some travel
between districts. Key Responsibilities: Provide orientation and
mobility services to K-12 students with visual impairments,
enhancing their ability to navigate safely and independently Design
individualized mobility plans and conduct assessments in alignment
with student needs and educational goals Collaborate closely with
educators, families, and related service providers to integrate
mobility strategies within the educational program Maintain
accurate and timely documentation of student progress and service
delivery Travel between schools within Greene and Washington
Counties as required to support multiple districts effectively
Qualifications: Active Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS)
license is mandatory Experience delivering mobility services in
K-12 educational settings Ability to manage a varied caseload
across multiple districts Strong communication and collaboration
skills for working with students, staff, and families Flexibility
and comfort with regular travel between assigned school sites
Location: Coal Center, PA, with travel to multiple districts in
Greene and Washington Counties This position offers the chance to
