with Cynet Health to find a qualified PICU RN in Morgantown, West

Experience: Minimum of 2 years PICU experience required License:

Must-Have: 2 years of PICU experience required Registered Nurses
are required to titrate drips Description: The unit consists of 20
beds with an average daily census of around 15. Ratios are 1:1-2
for ICU and 1:3 for stepdown. Common patient diagnoses include
congenital heart issues, DKA, respiratory conditions, neurosurgery
cases, tracheostomies, and those requiring ventilators or G-tubes.
Nurses will be involved in administering sedation and vasoactive
drugs with a physician's orders. Charge nurses are present
depending on staffing, while house supervisors will typically be
free. Nurse aides are available during daytime shifts for support
tasks including feeding and equipment assistance. A pediatrician is
in-house 24/7, along with residents and advanced practice
providers. Respiratory therapy equipment such as vents, CPAP, and
BiPAP is available and managed by the respiratory team. Telehealth
is monitored off-site, and all patients are on centralized
monitors. Self-scheduling is practiced, with the possibility for
block scheduling if unit needs are met. Travelers are expected to
work a minimum of two weekends per month and are included in the
holiday rotation schedule. There is no call requirement, but
travelers may need to float to other children's units if required,
maintaining standard ratios. Scrub color requirements are royal
blue with kid-friendly scrub tops. Unit-specific training will
include EPIC training and competencies with a clinical preceptor. 5
