Opportunity – Step Down Registered Nurse – West Virginia Start
Date: February 23, 2026 Location: Morgantown, West Virginia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule:
3x12 night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, weekdays with every other
weekend Highlights: Lower acuity step down unit with 1:4
nurse-to-patient ratio (1:5 during emergencies) 13-week contract
with potential for extension Primarily cardiac patients
post-surgery or post-interventional cardiology procedures, plus
general medical/surgical cases Cerner EMR system in use 36-bed unit
with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams,
respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams 8 hours of
orientation provided Requirements: Active West Virginia or Compact
RN license (pending license acceptable) Minimum 2 years of RN
experience required At least 1 year of Med/Surg or Telemetry
experience and 2 years of Step Down experience Current ACLS and BLS
certifications through American Heart Association Proficiency in IV
starts, telemetry monitoring, and interpretation of cardiac rhythms
Two manager or charge nurse references from within the past 2 years
Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility (75-100 miles
considered case-by-case) Flu vaccination required (medical
