Faculty Hematology Oncology opening in West VirginiaLocated in Glen Dale - Wheeling 8m; Pittsburgh 65mFull-time, permanent positionSeeking Board Eligible or Board CertifiedOverview: - Seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank - The successful candidate will practice in the areas of hematology/oncology. - In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. - The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Glen Dale, West Virginia. - Successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at other worksites, including but not necessarily limited to, University Hospitals, and University Medical Corporation doing business as University Health Associates, etc. located in West Virginia, Maryland, Ohio, Virginia, and Pennsylvania and, as such, travel is anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these other worksites. - Enrollment of patients in clinical and translational research is a core institutional value supported by an excellent cancer clinical trials unit. - Development of disease-focused clinical and translational research within an individual faculty member's area of clinical focus is also encouraged, and start-up support is available through the Cancer Institute and the Clinical and Translational Science Institute for qualified applicants. - The facility is a nonprofit, acute-care community hospital located in Glen Dale, WV.
