working with Cynet Health to find a qualified CVICU RN in Columbus,
Ohio, 43210! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing

Shift: Night and Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum
Years of Experience: 2 years of charge experience preferred
License: Must have a valid state nursing license Certifications:
ACLS BLS Must-Have: Two professional references required Epic
experience required Previous travel experience preferred 36 hours
per week with up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period
Ability to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity
Description: Weekdays and some weekends are required. Rotating
holidays are included. The position requires floating within units
of equivalent or lower levels of acuity. Estimated patient ratios
are 1:1 to 2:2. Two years of cardiac ICU experience is preferred.
Skills required include IV start, telemetry, ventilator management,
Swans, conscious sedation, balloon pumps, and PA line management.
Epic experience is required. Candidates should have the ability to
manage ports, assist with chest tube insertion and removal, and
manage BiPAP and CPAP. Blood product administration and care of the
ventilated patient are essential skills. Candidates will manage
central lines and central venous pressure monitoring. Experience in
chronic/acute renal failure care is preferred. Continuous IV
sedations and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips are
required skills. Candidates will be involved in procedures and care
of patients on ECMO and VAD. Interpretation of dysrhythmias and
arterial blood gases is necessary. Demonstrated capability in
managing patients with multi-system organ dysfunction or failure is
expected. Candidates must be able to suction and manage surgical
wounds with drains or wound vacs. Care of post-cardiac surgery
patients directly from the OR is preferred. Effective communication
and teamwork are essential as interdisciplinary support includes
various services. The patient population includes adults with
cardiovascular diagnoses requiring intensive care. Patients may
present with conditions such as heart failure, acute respiratory
failure, unstable dysrhythmias, and post-operative recovery.
Candidates should be familiar with special procedures and equipment
