East is currently hiring a fulltime MRI Technologist to join our
team. This position will work various shifts Monday thru Friday
between the hours of 6:30 am – 9:00 pm. The role will also have
rotating weekend and holiday responsibility (9 am – 2 pm with
on-call responsibility until 9:00 pm) and on-call holiday
responsibility. /n This position will work 50/50 split between East
MRI and the Monroeville Imaging Center to provide coverage as

imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant
supervision. Competently performs a variety of technical procedures
that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative for
diagnostic purposes. Responsibilities: /n /n - Maintains clinical
competency for all exams and equipment. /n - Identifies all
patients properly by using two patient identifiers and utilizes
universal protocol when performing procedures. Reviews patient
history and assesses physician orders, applying specific
departmental protocols for optimal results in the acquisition of
data including the labeling /preparation/and administration of
contrast. Documents patient history in electronic record as
required. /n - Prior to start of exam, reads and presents all
relevant information to the physician based on protocol /n -
Ensures all exams within his/her area of responsibility are
properly coded and tracked through RIS system, all patient
information is updated and documented in Rad Assessment, all exams
are properly networked to ISITE for archiving and interpretation,
and all charges are adequately entered for the exams performed. /n
- Practices and maintains MR safety in the department. /n -
Demonstrates a strong ability to interact with both patients and
co-workers, while displaying a high level of caring, listening,
dignity and respect. Able to work as team member within the
department and all other departments to expedite patient care
efficiently. /n - Performs procedures for reviewing, processing and
archiving. /n - Demonstrates the ability to communicate
instructions to patients in a clear and concise manner and explain
procedures to help allay the patient's fears and solicit their
cooperation. /n /n - Graduate of an ARRT approved school of
Radiologic Technology, or completion of an accredited CNMT, ARMRIT
or ARDMS program. ARRT registry eligible technologist must obtain
ARRT within 6 months of hire date. /n - MR registry must be
acquired within 18 months of the date the primary registry was
acquired. /n - CNMT, ARDMS and ARMRIT graduates must obtain MR
registry within 12 months of hire date. /n /n Licensure,
Certifications, and Clearances: /n /n - ARRT registry eligible
technologist must obtain ARRT within 6 months of hire date. /n - MR
registry must be acquired within 18 months of the date the primary
registry was acquired. /n - CNMT, ARDMS and ARMRIT graduates must
obtain MR registry within 12 months of hire date. /n - CPR or BLS
Required. CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a
didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
/n - If working in a NY facility, you must have received
certification from the American Registry of Radiologic
Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification
Board (NMTCB) and be Licensed through the New York State Department
of Health. /n - ARRT Certificate OR American Registry of Magnetic
Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) OR Nuclear Medicine
Technologist Certification (NMTC) OR Registered Diagnostic Medical
Sonographer (ARDMS) /n - Basic Life Support (BLS) OR
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) /n - Act 31 Child Abuse
Reporting with renewal /n - Act 33 with renewal /n - Act 34 with
renewal /n - Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal /n /n UPMC is an
