First-time travelers welcomed. Description: This is a skilled care

both private and semi-private rooms available. The electronic
medical record system used is Community Works. The nurse-to-patient
ratio is 1 RN for every 8-10 patients. The staffing includes 3
RNs/LPNs per shift. Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) have the same
patient ratio. Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) also follow the
same staffing ratio. On day shifts, there are 3-4 CNAs, and on
night shifts, there are 2. RNs, LPNs, and CNAs are required to have
current BLS certification. IV certification is preferred for LPNs,
who will need to demonstrate competency on-site. Candidates must
have relevant certification before starting. Common diagnoses
include weakness, fractures, and COPD exacerbation. Job duties for
RNs and LPNs include passing medications, wound care, foley
insertion, IV management, peg tube care, and ostomy care. CNA
responsibilities include patient care, feeding, bathing, and
personal hygiene. IV's are managed on the unit, but there are no
titratable drips. No telemetry monitoring is performed on this
unit. RNs are not required to attend team conferences for acute
inpatient rehab. A designated charge nurse oversees each shift,
providing leadership without taking an assignment during day shifts
but does take an assignment on night shifts. Physician availability

managed by the director. Staff are expected to be flexible to fill
scheduling gaps as needed. RNs and LPNs generally work 12-hour
shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM, and CNAs work from 6 AM to 6 PM. Weekend
work is required every other weekend. Holidays may require
participation in the holiday rotation. Staff may be asked to float
to medical-surgical units as needed. Dress code specifies navy
scrubs for RNs and LPNs, and light blue for CNAs. A unit-specific
orientation is provided for new staff. Cancellation policy allows
for client-initiated cancellation of shifts under certain
conditions. The charting system is managed by Soarian.
