This position is fast-paced and constantly changing, so adaptability and flexibility is important. Every day, you will be celebrated for all you bring to Cleveland Clinic. - -A caregiver in this position works nights, 7:00PM - 7:30AM. - -A caregiver who excels in this role will: - -

• Provide direct nursing care. -
  • Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans. - -
    • Monitor, record, document and communicate patients' conditions. - -
      • Administer prescribed medications and treatments. -
        • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. - -
          • Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs. -
            • Educate patients and their families. - - -
              • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. -
                • Maintain professional growth and development through ongoing formal and informal education and clinical nursing study. - -Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: - -
                  • Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing -
                    • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) -
                      • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA). -
                        • One year of current acute care RN experience OR military RN experience. - -Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: -

                            • Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
