Job SummaryThe Ultrasound Sonographer produces quality ultrasound images, instructs patients with preparation required, performs in addition all the functions and tasks of a sonographer during sonographic examinations, maintains quality control and participates in quality assurance programs for Ultrasound.Essential Functions Moves throughout the facility, appropriately assists in emergency drills and performs the physical requirements needed to deliver services as assigned. Performs ultrasounds under the direction of a physician and provides quality images. Works cooperatively with unit staff, physicians and ancillary departments. Performs all tasks and duties of this position according to hospital and department policy and procedure. Demonstrates commitment to Pomerene Hospitals Values. Delivers service that builds customer satisfaction. Actively supports and encourages Primary Support Person (PSP) / Family involvement in patient's care, with consent of patient.
