POSITION TITLE:Medical Assistant/ACT, UPS AlpineSTATUS:Full Time
(RF Status - 80 Hours/Pay Period)DAY/SHIFT/HOURS:Mon-7:30am-5pm,
Tues-7:30am-6pmWed-7:30am-5pm,
Thurs-8:00am-noonFri-7:30am-4pmDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The
Medical Assistant/ACT will demonstrate the knowledge and skills
necessary to provide quality care appropriate to the age of the
patient.The Medical Assistant/ACT supports the physician in
providing care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.Works
under the direction and supervision of the Physician and UPS
Management.The Medical Assistant/ACT actively participates in
patient care routines assisting with activities of daily living and
specific technical tasks with consideration for the age of the
patient.Provides quality care in a customer-focused considerate
manner respecting the patient's rights.Documents care provided
following established guidelines.The Medical Assistant/ACT also
completes indirect care activities needed for the efficient
operation of the Physician Office.May require working at other
Union Physician Services locations, as needed.Performs other duties
as assigned.The above statement reflects the general duties

of all work inherent in the job.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:High School
Graduate or Equivalent.Registered or Certified Medical Assistant or
ACT.Previous physician office experience required.Practice
Management System and EMR experience preferred.Patient scheduling
duties including demographic entry, insurance verification, and
handling of all front desk responsibilities.Medical assistant will
also room patients, document in EMR, handle referrals, prescription
refills, lab draws, and assist providers in the officeAbility to
comprehend and follow principles of aseptic technique.Ability to
learn and retain detailed information and accurately document data
collected from the patient.Excellent basic clinical skills in
delivery of care.Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work
well with people projecting a positive image for theAbility to
remain calm and function well in stressful situations.Ability to
work independently/prioritize work.
