Job Description:

The Registered Medical Technologist (MT) collects specimens as required; prepares specimens for testing; perms analysis on blood and body fluids following specific policies and procedures. Position Requirements

• Independent performance and working under established procedures, performs a wide variety of laboratory tests and procedures including collection, preparation, and processing of chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests, which provide data for use in treatment and diagnosis of diseases.
• Participates in charge responsibilities as assigned.
• Assists in training of MT and MLT Students.
• Other duties as assigned.
• This is a Full Time Position - 72hrs/pay
• Shift - 6am - 4:30pm - Essential Functions
  • Performs routine and special laboratory tests within a designated area
  • Performs quality-control tests within a designated area.
  • Performs preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Provides in-service training to other laboratory personnel and students within a designated area.
  • Performs clerical functions associated with the designated laboratory area.
  • Contributes to the general laboratory functions and institutional needs. Physical Demands Light work: Exert up to 20lbs force occasionally; and/or up to 10lbs frequently. Educational, Licensure, & Experience Requirements
    • Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent required.
    • ASCP registered or registry eligible.
