POSITION BACKGROUND AND SCOPE
As a key member of the Executive Management team, the Vice
President of Finance (VP Finance) will report to the COO and assume
a strategic role in the overall management of the company. The VP
will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning,
implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related
activities of the company. This will include direct responsibility
for accounting and projections supporting, Finance, forecasting,
strategic planning, product/job costing, Legal, deal analysis and
negotiations.
The VP will be the primary accounting officer accountable for all
corporate financial accounting, including insuring conformity with
General Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP) and generation of
financial reports. They will participate in filing of external SEC
reporting in compliance with SEC Rules and Regulations. This role
will require participation in identification, development and
compliance with financial internal controls.This individual will
direct and oversee accounting business wide and be a member of the
team driving planning and inventory control. In addition, this
individual will be accountable for all financial planning and
budgeting including establishing and monitoring departmental
budgets and financial analysis supporting the long range corporate
strategic plan.
OUTCOMES/ PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Participate in Corporate Governance and provide Board with
financial information, controls, capital structure, audit
information, CEO/CFO certifications, section 404 compliance,
etc.
* Participate in the development of the corporation's strategic
direction/plans and vision. Analyze, recommend and implement
strategies such as acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, etc.
Participate in structuring the business for optimum ROI.
* Devise tax and treasury strategies to minimize cost of capital
for the corporation while minimizing tax exposure.
* Establish a capital structure to provide financial flexibility
and liquidity for future growth.
* Reduce exposure in accounts receivable and improve payables while
maintaining relationships with customers and vendors.
* As a member of the corporate leadership team, enhance or develop,
implement, and enforce policies and procedures of the organization
that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the
corporation.
* Provide leadership in the development for the continuous
evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial
objectives.
* Ensure credibility of Finance group by providing timely and
accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts.
* Develop an annual business plan and reviews actual versus plan
weekly.
* Develop updated projections (monthly, quarterly, and annually) as
required.
* Take hands-on lead position of developing, implementing, and
maintaining a comprehensive job cost system.
* Direct and manages staff: select, hire, train, coach, evaluate,
and assure performance goals are met. Maintain positive employee
relations, an atmosphere of teamwork and cross-training and set
performance improvement objectives.
* Evaluate and advises on the impact of long range planning,
introduction of new programs/ strategies and regulatory action.
* Communicate corporate sales/operational/financial performance to
external entities.
* Provide business leadership with advice on the financial
implications of business programs activities/actions.
* Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets and
consolidation and reporting.
* Primary responsibility for plant controllers and corporate
finance for the purpose of assuring accurate data and forecast
data.
* Coordinate and prepares the Company accounting records for
quarterly review and annual audit by external auditors. Accountable
for accuracy and correctness of company financial data for the
purpose of auditors to determine that the Company's financial
statements require no material modifications and conform to
GAAP.

REQUIREMENTS
* MBA Preferred and active CPA license is required; at least 15
years of applicable business experience of which 10 must be in a
financial leadership role.
* Seasoned executive leadership experience in industry.
* Experience in industrial firms is required. Preferred
understanding of metal industries processes and products.
Demonstrated industry understanding: operations, customers,
suppliers, business climate, etc.
* Ideally experienced in both private and public sectors (with
Sarbanes-Oxley compliance).
* Full knowledge FASB, working knowledge of IFRS, basic knowledge
of SEC regulations. Ability to interpret rules as they relate to
company accounting.
* Experience with, and deployment of, ERPs such as Oracle and SAP
is desired.
* A strategic visionary with demonstrated technical skills,
analytical ability, good judgment, strong operational focus and
creative thinking.
* Ability to navigate through complex financial situations to
maximize results.
* Strong systems, process and best practices experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
* Ability to see, communicate, hear and utilize electronic

* Office work environment; incumbent occasionally subject to plant
working conditions (hazardous, subject to weather and temperature
extremes).
