. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical
Engineering, Power Engineering, a related technical field, or
equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience in the
design and construction of mission-critical facilities focused on
substation and HV/MV distribution systems. 5 years of experience
performing and reviewing Short Circuit, Arc Flash, and Coordination
(SCAAF) studies using industry-standard software like ETAP. 5 years
of experience navigating NERC, FERC, NEC, and NESC regulations and
managing technical approvals with utility providers, Subject Matter
Expert (SME) capacity for multi-vendor protection relays. Ability
to travel up to 30% of the time. Preferred qualifications: Master's
degree in Electrical Engineering. Professional Engineer (P.E.)
license. Experience supporting energy and land services teams in
long-term utility planning and understanding data center topology.
Knowledge of transformer theory and design to optimize bespoke
equipment performance. Understanding of mechanical and control
systems to facilitate effective cross-discipline collaboration.

Center Electrical Engineer, High Voltage/Medium Voltage (HV/MV),
you will have an expertise in site assessment, due diligence,
campus planning, and the design, construction, and operation of
complex mission-critical facilities. You will be responsible for
leading the design and optimization of power systems, focusing on
high/medium voltage substations, transformers, and critical power
infrastructure for data centers. You will lead the design and
construction of HV/MV infrastructure for our data center campuses
in North and South America. Behind everything our users see online

The US base salary range for this full-time position is
$144,000-$209,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are
determined by role, level, and location. Within the range,
individual pay is determined by work location and additional
factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant

Responsibilities Lead the end to end technical lifecycle of high to
medium voltage infrastructure from site due diligence and campus
planning through construction and operational support ensuring turn
key delivery of substations and critical equipment. Serve as
subject matter expert for power system analysis (including SCAAF
and necessary software), transformer, substation design, and relay
protection systems, overseeing vendor QA/QC and equipment
standards. Navigate the complexities of NERC, FERC, and utility
requirements to secure approvals, manage technical interactions,
including studies for grid interconnections, and support long-term
energy planning and land services. Drive Google’s direct-purchase
equipment strategy by collaborating with global commodities and
manufacturers, bridging technical gaps between internal control
systems, mechanical teams, and external stakeholders.
