related to removal/replacement/repair and preparation of damaged
components, and aligns vehicle frame/unibody components to
manufacturer specifications, and works within manufacturer and
industry established quality and time standards. Complies with
manufacturer and dealer safety and environmental programs and
practices.ESSENTIAL DUTIESEssential duties include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.Repairs vehicles per estimate and
according to manufacturer standards.Checks parts against estimate
and ensures proper parts are ordered and received.Prepares vehicles
for body repair work.Notifies management of any additional repairs
needed.Notifies management of any difficulties or problems that may
prevent a quality job from being performed r cause a change in the
promised time.Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair
and prepping of vehicles.Maintains tools and equipment in a proper
state of repair.Maintains and wears all required safety and health
personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner
recommended by the equipment manufacturer.Complies with all laws
and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous
materials. Reports any deviations to management.Operates all tools
and equipment in a safe manner. Reports any safety issues
immediately to management. Participates in manufacturer-sponsored
training programs, schools, and events Maintains and is accountable
for all dealership owned tools and manuals QualificationsJOB
REQUIREMENTSAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety
rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure
manuals.Ability to use basic mathematical skills to solve simple
equations for mixing chemicals.Ability to apply common sense
understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral,
or diagram form.Ability to use a computer for reference and
training/testing.EDUCATIONEducation, training and/or state/national
certifications should clearly demonstrate the possession of the
knowledge and skills state above.High School degree or equivalent
requiredValid Drivers license that meets dealership insurability
requirementsICAR or ASE certifications in auto body repair,
painting and estimating a plusCertificate from Vocational School in
Collision a plusEXPERIENCEMinimum 2 years of experience as a
collision repair technicianTools required to perform
repairsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSWalking/Standing for 6 to 8 hours in a
shiftUsing hand and/or power tools and equipment consistent with
industry standardsBending, stretching, lifting, reaching and
climbingLifting up to 70lbs.Possess physical and manual
