a team of engineers? Are you skilled at implementing, controlling
and optimizing industrial processes and machinery in the
manufacturing industry?Consider joining the Pennex family as an
Engineering Manager at our Leetonia, OH location. In this role,
you'll supervise a team while being responsible for managing
processes, budgets and timelines for multiple projects,
in order to ensure successful project completion.Responsibilities
of the Role:
- Implementation of equipment to design budget and timeline
- Lead and facilitate continuous improvement for process and
equipment capabilities
- Coordinate, plan, and direct the activities of outside
contractors and equipment manufacturers for major capital and/or
repair projects
- Develop standard work practices, maintenance programs, etc. to
maintain and improve equipment utilization and optimization
- Lead Process Engineering team with project based KPI
methodology
- Support plant functionally to problem solve and implement KPI
driven solutions
- Direct training of employees to improve work performance,
safety practices and acquaint workers with company policies and
procedures
- Coordinate between Pennex and Metal Exchange sites as needed
for technical expertise
- Manage a team of engineering resources and is responsible for
the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the
department staff
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with
Pennex's policies and applicable laws, including: interviewing,
hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing
work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees;
addressing complaints and resolving problemsIdeal Candidate Will
Have:
- Education
- Desired: Bachelor's degree from accredited college or
university
- Required: High School Diploma with advanced training or
equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience
- 10 or more years of related supervisory experience
- Other required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- A desire to work in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing
environment
- Highly motivated, self-driven, and eager to learn and apply new
skills
- Attentive to details and follows through on assigned tasks and
commitments
- Flexible and driven to meet tight deadlines, handle multiple
projects and prioritize them appropriately
- Strong organizational skills, and ability to effectively
disseminate information in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business
periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or
governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and
procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to
questions from groups of managers, customers, vendors and employees
of the organization.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability
and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid
geometry and trigonometry
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages,
ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and
draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical
instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several
abstract and concrete variables
- Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug
