Position Summary
As a Plant Engineer at the Energizer Marietta plant, you will lead and execute capital projects, provide process troubleshooting and repair and help define and implement process improvements. You will also work in support of overall company objectives which include working within OSHA and Energizer defined safety standards, meeting customer quality and supply expectations and producing product per cost standards.
Specific Accountabilities

• Define capital projects, request funding, lead and execute projects.
• Define and implement process improvements.
• Insure process documentation including Engineering drawings, Specifications and training documentation are updated and kept current.
• Prepares designs and layouts for review
• Prepares specifications for bids, evaluates bids, and make recommendations
• Provides technical assistance on problems in maintenance areas
• Estimates labor and material requirements for engineering construction projects
• Establishes a course of action to accomplish completion of the job and/or project
• Coordinates input from internal/external customers to better understand customer needs and/or perceptions
• Keeps abreast of current product developments and trends in areas of expertise
• Actively identifies new areas for learning and takes advantage of learning opportunities Required Skills and Experience
  • BS in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or related experience with knowledge in the application of basic engineering principles, theories, and techniques.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant manufacturing experience.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical manufacturing processes, including assembly and testing.
  • Hands on experience with electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Data driven with a demonstrated history of achieving results.
  • Familiarity with SAP, Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and other common office software.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other business functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams as well as work within a team structure.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize work plans and tasks. Preferred Skills and Experience
    • Experience with the Leading 2 Lean Maintenance system.
    • Knowledge of and experience in a Lean Manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement concepts.
    • Problem Solving and Decision making techniques like Kepner-Tregoe PSDM. Working Relationships & Environment
