Job Description:
Description Join our team as a Senior Payroll Tax Associate
where you can make a difference by ensuring accurate payroll tax
filing and compliance, while providing guidance and support to help
us maintain our reputation as a leader in the industry. As a Senior
Payroll Tax Associate in the Tax department, you will be
responsible for data analysis, information reporting, quality
control management, and reconciliations as well as acting as
controls liaison across the payroll tax space to minimize taxes and
audit risk, as well as various assigned projects. Job
responsibilities Support quarterly tax reconciliation and close
processes to meet statutory Federal, State and Local deadlines.
Research regulatory law changes and ensure compliance; provide
payroll tax team support in implementing compliance changes
Participate in a wide variety of ad hoc reports, special projects,
process improvements and analysis as necessary. Communicate with
employees in a timely, courteous and professional manner to deliver
excellent payroll support Partner with Vice president, Payroll Tax
Manager on all US payroll tax activities and assist the Payroll Tax
Team by developing best practices and procedures. Maintains
internal controls that have been established and continue to
document business processes and procedures and recommends
improvements Coordinate accounting and payroll matters with other
departments. Utilizing ADP Smart compliance, Investigate penalties
and interest and resolution. Research and resolve questions and
issues related to payroll and payroll tax. Audit payrolls for
jurisdictional and tax related issues. Balance Taxable Gross by
Jurisdiction, balance Year end and produce W2’s and W2c’s Prepare
and submit new jurisdictional tax registrations as needed. In
partnership with ADP, Review all quarterly and annual filings, this
includes, but is not limited to, federal, state, unemployment, and
local taxes Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local legal
requirements by studying existing and new legislation. Ensures the
company's compliance and advise management on needed actions Assist
in the development and implementation of continuous improvement
measures to increase the effectiveness of the tax department.
Partners with other departments to increase efficiencies and
communication. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and
accomplish goals. Assists in the planning of acquisitions,
divestitures, and reorganizations. Performs other job-related
duties as assigned Required qualifications, capabilities, and
skills Certified Payroll Professional or Fundamental Payroll
Certifications 5 years of experience as a payroll tax analyst,
senior payroll analyst or payroll manager 5 years Oracle Human
Capital Management Payroll experience required Experience with ADP
Smart Compliance; experience in more than one payroll function
and/or systems Strong understanding of payroll principles and
Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) Advanced knowledge in payroll
tax reconciliation Excellent collaboration & teamwork skills
Excellent communication skills Strong decision support &
problem-solving skills Advanced analytics and payroll modeling
skills Digitally savvy and advanced Excel knowledge
