/n /n /n Qualified candidates will be placed into the appropriate
level based on experience: /n /n /n - CRT: $24.66 – $42.57 /n -
RRT: $27.08 – $46.81 /n - Senior RRT: $29.05 – $50.28 /n /n /n Your
Responsibilities /n /n /n - Provide diagnostic and therapeutic
respiratory care services to patients with cardiopulmonary
deficiencies. /n - Operate and manage mechanical ventilators,
therapeutic gas administration devices, and aerosol generators. /n
- Perform pulmonary function tests and assist patients with
bronchopulmonary drainage and breathing exercises. /n - Monitor
vital signs, arterial blood gases, and blood chemistry to optimize
patient outcomes. /n - Assist in mechanically ventilated patient
transport and respond to all code situations. /n - Interpret
clinical data to evaluate medical orders and ensure appropriate
treatment. /n - Educate and supervise students and healthcare
personnel on respiratory care procedures. /n /n /n /n - Graduate of
a Co ARC (Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care) approved
Respiratory program required. /n - Respiratory Care Practitioner
(RCP) license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania required. /n -
Basic Life Support or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation required
Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRTT) from the National Board for
Respiratory Care (NBRC) required prior to expiration of temporary
practice permit /n - Respiratory therapists who receive their CRT
credential from the NBRC after July 1, 2002 are required to
maintain certification under the NBRC requirements /n /n /n
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: /n /n /n - Certified
Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT) /n - Osteopathic Respiratory
Care /n - Respiratory Care Practitioners (RCP) /n - CPR required
based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills
demonstration component within 30 days of hire /n /n /n UPMC is an
