As we continue to expand, we are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team and be responsible for producing accurate financial statements and performing the full closing. The Senior Accountant will analyze the financials to identify trends and opportunities for the management team and have full responsibility for all cost accounting and will support pricing/estimating activities to optimize margins. Requirements:--- Lead the month-end closing process including preparation of all journal entries and Odoo transactions required --- Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts at month-end.--- Preparing comprehensive monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages.--- Review and maintain product costing --- Provide reports and data as needed for analysis, comparison, and management review.--- Research and prepare for external audits.--- Prepare state and local tax filings.--- Answer questions, inquiries, and requests from internal departments and external vendors and partners.--- Support Director of Accounting & Finance and Accounting Manager on ad hoc financial analysis projects, including cost accounting, quote and pricing support, and customer and product profitability analysis.--- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. ?--- Ability to establish rapport and maintain effective relationships with all employees and business partners--- Be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. ?--- Understanding of GAAP
Qualifications Required:--- Bachelor's degree in accounting.--- At least 3-5 years general ledger accounting experience is required--- Odoo Software experience a plus--- Cost accounting experience required, in manufacturing industry is a strong plus--- Advanced Excel skill--- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills--- Team player and have ability to work independently without a great deal of supervision--- Excellent written and verbal communication skills--- Demonstrated capability with accounting tasks such as preparing general journal entries, auditing accounts, developing analysis of root cause issues, budgeting and budget monitoring, and preparation of month, quarter and year end financials and related reports.
